Carat Velvet
A particularly soft material and suitable for the delicate surfaces of the piano on which the cover is placed. Whatever the model, all our covers are equipped with Carat Velvet on the side in contact with the piano.
Fibertex felt 7mm
On our Intermezzo model we use a very dense 7mm thick Fibertex felt which, combined with our Kodupa coating, provides a high level of impact protection for a reasonable price.
Kodupa
This is the outer covering, the part most exposed to the hazards of transport. Our Kodupa is a ballistic fabric that is extremely resistant to abrasion and tearing. Woven from an extremely strong 100% Polyester fiber. Fully coated with PVC for perfect waterproofing, this is a high-end covering present on our Intermezzo and Maestro covers. The ultimate in protection.
Polyether foam
The Polyether protective foam that we use on our Maestro covers has a thickness of 20mm and a density of 27kg, suitable for protecting the fragile instrument that is the piano. It is this which, combined with Kodupa, guarantees protection against shocks that can occur during transport or even a simple move.
Iso-Ouate
On our Maestro model, we add a layer of our Iso-Ouate thermal insulation composed of alternating polyester fibers and aluminized polyethylene. Its characteristics are optimized to absorb temperature differences that a piano could undergo during transport. This precaution guarantees that your piano will not undergo a sudden temperature difference that could compromise its proper functioning.

Are your covers water resistant?
Yes, our covers are specially designed to protect against spilled glasses for example.
The Prelude model provides a first level of resistance to humidity (overturned glass, splashing of liquids, etc.).
The Intermezzo and Maestro models with their exterior covering in Kodupa, a PVC-coated ballistic fabric, are also designed to provide protection against rain, for example, when moving or transporting the piano.
However, we advise you not to let moisture stagnate and to immediately wipe off any traces of water present on the piano cover.
How do you attach the cover to the piano?
The Prélude protective covers are simply placed on the piano. Lightweight, they can also be removed and stored very easily.
The Maestro and Intermezzo covers are equipped with straps and buckles that make it easy to attach the cover to the piano, as well as buckles that serve as handles for guiding the piano during transport.
Important : Please note that although the straps are extremely strong and perfectly sewn, they are not suitable for lifting the piano! Carat declines all responsibility in the use of the straps as a means of lifting.
What size cover is right for my piano?
You can either choose a standard size cover that will fit your piano's dimensions as closely as possible. Our standard size covers fit most models, choose according to your piano's dimensions. If you need help, please do not hesitate to contact us.

How do I maintain my Carat cover?
Carat protective covers are designed in very easy-care materials. Simply wipe with a microfibre cloth and a regular cleaning product to get your cover looking like new.
Please note, although they are very durable, they cannot be machine washed!
